Taylor Swanson joins TeamUP!

14 March 2025

Allard USA is proud to announce Taylor Swanson as the newest TeamUP Co-Captain of GetBackUpToday, a national community dedicated to empowering individuals with foot drop and mobility challenges. Taylor’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, adaptability, and the impact of mobility solutions like Allard AFOs in navigating everyday life with confidence.

From an early age, Taylor was an active competitor in sports, yet she frequently experienced unexplained falls and injuries. It was not until a knee injury led to the diagnosis of a condition called foot drop—and with subsequent medical evaluations—she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This life-changing discovery provided clarity on the challenges she had faced for years and opened new doors to managing her mobility more effectively. Undeterred, Taylor has continued to push her limits, even competing on the world stage as a Paralympian in Paris.

Although she does not wear her Allard AFOs while competing, they have been instrumental in her daily life, providing the stability and independence she needs to navigate her everyday activities with confidence.

Taylor’s story is especially significant during Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month, serving as a reminder of the everyday victories that mobility solutions make possible. By becoming a TeamUP Co-Captain, she hopes to inspire others to “Get Back UP” and continue pursuing their passions, regardless of mobility challenges.
