The SWASH® (Sitting-Walking-and-Standing Hip Orthosis) is available in two different designs; Steady & Go. The goal of SWASH® is to prevent excessive hip adduction when sitting, walking and standing as usual in cerebral palsy. It allows movement in all three planes of motion. In sitting, the base is widened for support, which helps the child get an upright balanced posture, at the same time stretching the adductor muscles. However, perhaps the most important benefit the SWASH® offers is guidance for hip alignment.
